Market Entry Thailand: The Business Unit at Sanet as the Smartest Solution - Soon also with Warehousing!
In recent years, no less than 24 well-known manufacturers from Europe have relied on a Business Unit at Sanet Trade & Services for their market entry in Thailand. The reasons are obvious: A quick set-up and low fixed costs by not having an own entity. In addition, there are sales and/or service employees working exclusively for your products as well as transparent and fixed annual costs with no loss of margin and on top of that, direct customer contact.

Now the Sanet Group has made its successful concept even more attractive. Not only were new, attractive offices with a modern design opened, but a flexible logistics system for the rapid supply of spare parts to the Business Units is also scheduled to be set up with effect from July 2025.
This will provide needs-based solutions for warehousing, shipping and even exporting spare parts and goods for Sanet customers. The offering will range from the small-scale solutions of just two pallet spaces to a broad selection and the storage of demo systems.
There is a strong demand for flexible solutions for market entry in Thailand. Distribution in Thailand is strictly regulated. Businesses with a foreign shareholder majority are banned from trading or providing services. To qualify, they need a special permit, which requires both a complex procedure and around EUR 250,000 in pure annual administrative costs.
Although Sanet Group will identify and qualify distributors as business partners in Thailand on request, the drawbacks of such a distribution system are well known: It is mostly associated with margin losses and limited access to the end customer.
The Business Unit at Sanet Trade & Services, on the other hand, eliminates these downsides:
For a predetermined budget, Sanet as a service company sets up a special department, the so-called “Business Unit”.
In a recruitment process carried out by Sanet CREATING CAREERS, employees are jointly evaluated and assigned contractually defined tasks. They only work for your products.
A fixed budget covers all costs including personnel, modern premises and management of the Business Unit. There are no additional margins or commissions.
The Sanet employee(s) of the Business Unit are in constant contact with distributors, end customers and you as our principal.
What our customers kept asking for was which the business unit could also import and store goods, primarily spare parts. Sanet Trade & Services will be introducing a practical and cost-effective solution for this too in the coming weeks.
Read below about the key benefits of the new concept for the expanded market entry in Thailand:
The key points of the warehouse system:
Sanet Trade & Services has an import license and acts as the official importer of the spare parts/sample goods. On request, Sanet Legal will take care of product approval in accordance with Thai regulations.
As a Sanet partner, you deliver the goods free to an import warehouse or a free trade warehouse at a highly specialized partner company. Freight and customs clearance are either borne by you or invoiced monthly by Sanet.
Sanet agrees a sales price with you that includes a fixed expense allowance as a “margin”. In the case of warranty services, Sanet only charges this fixed fee.
Sanet delivers the replacement line in consultation between the head of the business unit and you and charges the customer for it. Even a quick pick-up from the warehouse near the Sanet office is possible.
Sanet pays you monthly for the parts shipped and provides you with a detailed list of inventory, stock movements, freight and shipping costs. We even plan to allow you permanent online access to the stocks.
In this way, the Business Unit will become the perfect system for entering the Thai market.
The Sanet Group also offers you all other market entry options. Among these are the professional search for a distributor in Thailand, company formation with application for a Foreign Business License or a permit from the BOI Thailand (Thai Board of Investment).
